Ruth Usry Dennis homemaker Ruth Usry Dennis, 78, of Chadwick Road, a homemaker, died of respiratory arrest Wednesday at Methodist Medical Center. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Primitive Baptist Church with burial at 3:30 p.m. at Eastern Cemetery in Forest. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 9-1 p.m. Saturday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home. Mrs. Dennis was a Lake native. She was a member of Jackson Primitive Baptist Church. She lived in Jackson 15 years and had also lived in Forest. She was the widow of H.M. "Pete" Dennis. Survivors include: daughter, Joy D. Smith of Crystal Springs; son, Joe Dennis of Jackson; sisters, Linda Simmons of Jackson and Bemice Simmons of Morton; brothers, Barto Usry of Jackson, Marvin L. Usry of Brandon and Earl Usry of Conyers, Ga.; and two grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Jackson Primitive Baptist Church.
