Wife of S.B. SiMrs. Esther Simmons Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Usry Simmons, 77, were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 9, 99T, from the Ott and Lee Chapel in Morton. Rev. Hilton Moore officiiated. Interment was made in the Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Lake, MS. Mrs. Simmons passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 1991, at thel Scott County Nursing Home in Morton, MS, following a sudden illness. She? moved from Philadelphia, MS and had lived in Morton for the past 11 years. Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Sharon Primitive Baptist Church in Lake, MS. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Linda Simmons, Jackson, MS. four brothers, Mr. Barto Usry, Mr. Loomis Usry and Mr. Marvin Usry,, all of Jackson, MS and Mr. Earl Usry of Conyers, GA; two sisters Mrs. Bernice Simmons, Morton, MS and Mrs. Ruth Dennis, Jackson, MS; one grandchild, Mr. Steve Simmons, Monroe, LA; one great grandchild, Haley Simmons and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were W.J. Waldrop, Jack Hollingworth, Joe Rex Dennis, Jim Henley, James Johnson, Joe Mangum and Richie Grant. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
