At an early age he moved with his parents to Dane county, Wisconsin. October 10, 1867, he was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Proud of Dane county, Wisconsin, to which union five sons were born: John A., Perry E., George M., Owen, and Ernest I. His wife and two of the sons, John A., and Ernest I., have preceded him to the great beyond. The remaining three sons were at his bedside at the time of his death. Being among the pioneer settlers of the state. Mr. White knew some of the hardships and sacrifices that had to be endured in the developing of a new country. However, he always possessed a faculty of looking on the bright side of everything, and a good many times he caused sunshine where there might have been shadows. The passing of Mr. White reminds us that the old settlers are beginning to fall out of the ranks, and their real worth will probably never receive adequate recognition. Mr. White was a member of the A. O. U. W. of Giltner. He was a firm believer in Christianity. At about the age of 35 he united with the Presbyterian church and lived an exemplary Christian life ever since. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 29th, at 3 o'clock from the Seatonville Presbyterian church, Rev. J. H. Salsbury, D. D., pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Aurora, being in charge. Interment was made in the Seatonville cemetery. ------------ From "The Aurora Sun", Aurora, Nebraska dated August 21, 1916, Page 8: WARREN PERRY WHITE.
