From "The Aurora Sun", Aurora, Nebraska dated Saturday, Nov. 13, 1897, Page 5: Obituary. Died, Nov. 5th, at the residence of his parents in Orville precinct, Ernest Irvin White, aged 17 years, 5 months and 17 days, youngest son of Warren P. and Hannah White. Ernest was a kind and obedient son and an affectionate brother. The father, mother and four brothers mourn their loss. Neighbors and friends sympathize deeply with the bereaved. All feel a most worthy son and promising young man has been called home. His death was unexpected – many were surprised to hear death had called him home. He had been ailing for some time, but no one had thought him dangerous until the day before his death. There was a large attendance at the funeral. Services were conducted at the Seaton Presbyterian church, by Rev. Giltner. The remains were laid to rest in the Seaton Cemetery. ------------ From "The Aurora Sun", Aurora, Nebraska dated Saturday, Nov. 13, 1897, Page 2: Earnest White, 17 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren P. White, died on the 5th of typhoid fever and interred at Seaton on the 6th, Dr. Giltner preaching the funeral sermon. This is a heavy loss to the family and neighborhood and especially to the home circle. A large number of friends and relatives attended the funeral who extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
