Arrangements are pending at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, June 15, 1995... Minnie B. Mantooth, 100, formerly of the Faught community, died Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at Paris Nursing Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom, with Dean Kilmer officiating. Fry & Gibbs Funeral has charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born January 14, 1895, in Blossom, a daughter of James William Parks and Susan Dabbs Parks. She attented public schools in Byrdtown and Blossom and was a member of the Methodist Church. She married John Wesley Mantooth in Hugo, OK on April 2, 1928, and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1991. Survivors include three daughters, Helen Louise Wright Peace of Faught, Doris Olivia Wright Wheeler of Longview and Audrey Lois Wright Thacker of Brownwood; a son, Forest Milburn Mantooth of Texarkana; a sister, Pauline Bryan of Paris; three brothers, Gus Parks of Parks, Hubert Parks of Novice and Howard Parks of Oklahoma City, OK; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
