The Paris News, November 8, 2002 Virginia Pauline Bryan, 86, of Paris passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in Christus St. Joseph's Hospital South. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in Providence Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Felts officiating. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born June 26, 1916, in Lamar County, a daughter of Will and Winfred Dabbs Parks. She was a housewife and a Baptist. She married Ronso David Bryan April 2, 1932, in Lamar County. They celebrated 70 years of marriage this year. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy David Bryan; a grandson, Bryan Day; six brothers; and a sister. Survivors include her husband; children, Betty and Hammond Day, Virginia and Reubin Burnett, Merle and Patsy Bryan, Paul and Judy Bryan, Jim C. and Peggy Bryan and Lynda Bryan, mother of David and Glen; brothers, Gus Parks and wife, Corene; grandchildren, Jane and Steve White, Glenn and Angie Bryan, David and Belinda Bryan, Roger Bryan, Rodney and Joni Bryan, Chesley and Amanda Bryan and Cheyney Bryan; great-grandchildren, Amy Bryan, Ben Bryan, Macey Bryan, Christopher White, Devin and Dana Withers; and great-great-grandchildren, Dalton and Chase White. Mother is loved and will be missed. She was a wonderful, caring mother. Her favorite saying was "time changes everything." Time will change, but our love for her will never fade. Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
