Clyde Ongel Stephens (November 22, 1912 - October 4, 2011) Clyde Ongel Stephens, age 98 of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at his residence. He was retired from Home Furniture in Decherd. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ira Stephens and Lenis Keller Stephens; wife, Sadie Miller Stephens;and daughter, Lola Golden. Survivors include sons, Abram and Aaron Stephens of Winchester; daughters, Verna Estelene Huffer and Sandi Tucker of Winchester and Helen (Bob) Crouch of Fairview, TN; sisters, Gladys Rankin of Winchester and Shirley Sanders of Scottsboro, AL; brothers, Vernon Stephens of Scottsboro, AL, Dathard Stephens and Irelen Stephens of Skyline, AL; 9 grandchildren; 28 grt grandchildren; and 9 grt grt grandchildren. Visitation is 5-8 PM Wednesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Neal Foster and grandson, Darrell Solomon officiating. Interment at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
