Daughter of William Winfield Scott Mc Cullough & Margaret Ellen West. Married Leonard Zachariah Baughn on 15 Jun 1910 in Cedar Co, Wyoming. Married Joseph Harold Traphagan in 1924. Obituary: The Lusk Herald, July, 1976 Edith Traphagan dies in Gillette Edith Laura Traphagan, 86, former Niobrara resident, died July 16 at Pioneer Manor in Gillette. Funeral service was held Monday at 2:00 in the Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Mrs. Judson Watson organist accompanied Mark Lohr as he sang "In the Garden" and "How Great Thou Art." Casket bearers were Roy Johnson, Julius Peterson, Richard Kant, Luther Penfield, Jim Krejci and Louie Krejci. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the Niobrara County Nursing Home. Edith Traphagan was born March 13, 1890, in Dayton, Pa., the daughter of William S. and Margaret Ellen West McCullough. She came to Nebraska at the age of six weeks when her family homesteaded there. She completed her education at Wayne Normal and taught school in Nebraska, Colorado, Texas and Wyoming for 35 years. She married Leonard Baughn June 15, 1910. They were the parents of a daughter Lillian born at Randolph, Neb. Later the family moved to Wyoming where they homesteaded north of Lusk in 1918. In 1924 she married Joe Traphagan and resided in Lance Creek for a number of years. After retirement, she lived in Torrington and Cheyenne, and has resided at Pioneer Manor in Gillette since 1971. She is survived by her daughter; two sisters Effie Twite, San Mateo, Calif. and Bertha Borikie, Los Angeles, Calif.; one brother Leonard McCullough, Moorcroft. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and two grandchildren.
