Lenora M. (McCullough) Cordell (March 8, 1894 - February 21, 1973) The Lusk Herald March 1, 1973 Lenora Cordell Funeral Saturday Funeral service for Lenora M. Cordell, 78, was held at the Peet Chapel in Lusk Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The service was conducted by the Rev. Fred Bolinger of the First Baptist Church with Mrs. A. F. DeCastro organist. Mrs. Pete Germann and Mrs. Paul Morgan sang: "Whispering Hope" and "In the Garden". Casket bearers were Clyde Blackmore, Joe Jones, Roy Johnson, Richard Ladwig, Ray Pierce and Ted Pennington. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Lenora M. Cordell was born March 8, 1894 at Hartington, Neb. She died February 21 at Lusk after an extended illness. Her parents were Margaret and William S. McCullough and she was one of seven children. Her parents, a brother and two sisters died previously. She was married to Michael Cordell of Lusk. Mrs. Cordell filed and retained a homestead while in her early twenties north east of Lance Creek and taught school in all areas around Lusk and Van Tassell. She has lived alone in her home in Lusk for the last twenty years. Survivors include a brother Leonard A.
