Bio

Adolph William Lehman was the son of Hermann Lehman Sr. and Annie Muesse Lehman; their photo is the bottom one posted on his memorial. Adolph was born in Paige, Bastrop County, Texas. He married Julia Elizabeth Austin on 08 Dec 1945 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; Julia, born May 15, 1918 and died on May 13, 1997 and is buried by Adolph's side. They had 2 sons and a daughter, 2 daughters in law and 2 sons inlaws, 4 grandsons, 2 are married, and one great great grandson, all still living. His wife, Julia, was the daughter of Lawthan McGehee Austin, born 1896 and died 1987. Her grandfather was Lawthan Bethune Austin (born 1835 died 1900) and grandmother was Rebecca S McGehee (born 1851 died 1898) Rebecca's father was Madison Tate McGehee and her mother was Lucy H Meriwether; and, Virginia Cephise Wiggs Austin; her mother was Elizabeth Aspinwall Wiggs, her father was Joseph Craig and mother was Julia A Craig, maiden name unknown; her father was Dr Henry Blackwell Wiggs a practicing physician in Arkansas, born 1873 and died 1923; his father was John Joseph Wiggs born 04 Jan 1837 Holly Springs, Marshall, Mississippi and died 04 Jan 1904; and mother Mary Ann Battle Blackwell, b 17 Jan 1837 Little Rock, Pulaski, Arkansas and died on 22 Feb 1875. Julia and Adolph made their home in San Antonio, Texas where all their children were born. They moved to Lubbock, Texas about 1960 when Adolph joined his father in-law, Lawthan McGehee Austin, at The Mac Austin Industrial Contractor's Supply Store in Lubbock as a salesman. In the early 1970's Adolph moved his family to Westminster, Colorado and was a partner in an industrial contractor's supply store there until his death in 1974. Adolph died from lung cancer; he had suffered an earlier bout with colon cancer before they moved to Westminster, CO.
