Hillsboro Reporter Thursday, June 12, 2003 W. D. WILLIAMS Mr. W. D. (Buddy) Williams, 96, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, June 10, at a local hospital. He was born September 18, 1906 in Hill County, son of Daniel Washington (Bud) and Anna Rose Myers Williams, and grew up and attended school in the Bethlehem community. He had lived in Hill County all of his life, moving from Whitney to Hillsboro in 1965. He farmed for many years before going to work in maintenance at Franklin School in Hillsboro. He was a member of Whitney Missionary Baptist Church. He married Stella Watts December 10, 1932, in Whitney. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Timmy D. Williams, February 22, 1981; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include: his wife; three children, Peggy Worley of Pasadena, Bobby Williams and wife, Virginia, of Whitney and Diana Sue George and husband, Drew, of Dallas; two sisters, Annie Pearl Rose of Hillsboro and LaVerne Wallace of Whitney; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney with Rev. Andy Andersen officiating. Memorials may be made to Whitney Missionary Baptist Church, P. O.
