Bobby D Williams June 12, 1935 ~ June 18, 2016 Bobby Williams 81, of Whitney passed away June 18, 2016. He was born June 12, 1935 in Whitney to the late William D. and Stella Watts Williams. He moved to Dallas in 1952. On February 9, 1957 he married Virginia Springer in Maypearl, Texas and they moved to Whitney in 1981. Bobby worked in Dallas for 28 years as a police officer with the Dallas Police Department before retiring in 1985. He served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Towash Baptist Church. An avid knife collector and trader, he also enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his grandson Jeffery. Preceding him in death was a son, Timothy Williams on February 22, 1981 and a sister, Peggy Worley. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Williams; daughter, Tammy; son, Thomas; sister, Diana; grandson, great-grand sons and many other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held June 22, 2016 at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney...M_M
