Houston Chronicle September 27, 2007 Worley, Peggy L. (Williams) PEGGY L. (WILLIAMS) WORLEY, 73, of Pasadena, went home to be with her Lord on September 24, 2007. Peggy was born January 4, 1934, in Whitney, Texas, to W. D. Williams and Stella (Watts) Williams. Peggy enjoyed a long, successful career with General Accident Insurance Company, where she made numerous, lifelong friends. Peggy was active in various Pasadena charities and social organizations. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Pasadena. Surviving Peggy are her mother, Stella Williams; son, James Worley, and his wife and Peggy's "Earthly Angel", Dana Worley; "Perfect" grandchildren, Ryan and Brooke Worley; brother, Bobby D. Williams and his wife Virginia Williams; sister, Diana George and her husband Drew George; and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the nursing staff at The Methodist Hospital for the dedicated and loving care they provided to Peggy throughout her illness. Also, the family offers their deep gratitude to Dr. Garrett Lynch, Dr. Alan Kaplan, Dr. Richard Goldfarb, the doctors' related staff and various other team doctors, which she affectionately referred to as her "Dream Team". Lastly, but certainly not least, the family extends their deep appreciation to Peggy's many friends, extended family, neighbors, and church for their unending support and the multitude of prayers, cards, flowers and telephone calls. Visitation will be held Friday, September 28th between 5 pm and 7 pm at Fairmont Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6777 Fairmont Pkwy. Pasadena, TX 77505. A Celebration of Peggy's life will be September 29th at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Pkwy., Pasadena, Texas with the Rev. Dr. Charles Redmond officiating. Graveside service will follow at 5 pm at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney, TX. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests contributions in memory of Peggy be directed to the First Baptist Church of Pasadena Homebound Ministry at the church address listed above or to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.fairmontfh.com
