Funeral services for Mada Rae Walker, age 77 of Bonham, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Interment will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Walker passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her home. Mada Rae (Grounds) Walker was born on January 11, 1934 in Valley Creek Community to Charles Leonard and Zephyr Annis Grounds. She married Paul Richard Walker on April 2, 1960 in Irving, TX; he preceded her in death on April 29, 2000. She is of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Walker is survived by children Barbara Harris of Bonham, TX; Travis Walker of Midlothian, TX; Kenneth Walker of Bonham, TX; Mickey Walker of Bonham, TX; Paula Lewis of Bonham, TX; Kathy Crawford of Bonham, TX; and Dwain Walker of Bonham, TX; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brother Willie Don Grounds of Bonham, TX; sisters Nadine Brewer of Alvarado, TX; Euwana Goodwin of Forney, TX; and Susie Deel of Trenton, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 4 brothers L.Z., Weldon, Harold, and Glen. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. Family visitation will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
