H.E. Chrismer, Jr. Laid To Rest Harold E. Chrismer, Jr., better known as "Red" to a town in which he grew up, died Sunday in the Yuma Community Hospital following an extended illness. Services were conducted Tuesday, March 20, at the Presbyterian Church with Reverend Robert Tull officiating. Interment was made in the Yuma Cemetery with Ritchey Funeral Home handling arrangements. The following obituary was read Harold Eugene Chrismer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold K. Chrismer, was born December 17, 1926 in Yuma, Colorado, and departed this life March 18, 1962 at the Yuma Community Hospital following an illness of several months. He was 35 years and 3 months of age. He attended the Yuma schools, graduating with the class of 1945. Harold was engaged in farming and construction work in this area until the time of his illness. He is survived by his parents, Harold and Helen Chrismer; three sisters, Dorothy Chrismer of Roswell, New Mexico, Marjorie Kreiling of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Mildred Harris of Weldon, Illinois; two brothers, Kenneth and Milton Chrismer of Yuma; three nieces, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a younger brother, Herbert, in February, 1933.--Yuma Pioneer, Thursday, March 22, 1962, Pg. 1
