Bio

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Helen Marie Chrismer Saturday at the Morris-Spellman Chapel. She passed away Thursday, March 11 at the age of 78 years. Rev. Tom Westfall officiated and burial was made in the Yuma Cemetery. She was born December 31, 1897 near Liberty, Nebraska. She came to Colorado with her family in 1920 and settled north of Schramm. She was united in marriage April 7, 1923, to Harold K. Chrismer of Yuma and four sons and three daughters were born to this union. Her husband, Harold; two sons, Herbert J. and Harold E.; and her brother, John Tyson preceded her in death. Her immediate survivors are her daughters, Dorothy of Denver, Marjorie Kreiling of Cheyenne and Mildred Harris of Yuma; sons, Kenneth Robert of Yuma and Milton of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Other survivors are a sister, Lena Hartwig of Greeley; sisters-in-law, Juanita Chrismer and Margaret Scott of Yuma and a number of other relatives and friends.--Yuma Pioneer, Thursday, March 18, 1976, Pg. 7
