☆~ VETERAN, WORLD WAR I (1914-1918) ~☆ Obituary: B. T. ZELENY FALLS DEAD - Was Deputy Sheriff of Seward County, Seward, Nebr A heart attack proved fatal to Bohumil T. Zeleny, 48, part time Seward County deputy sheriff, and an employee at the Hughes Planing Mill. Zeleny went to work Friday morning as usual. He complained to fellow workers he "felt cold " and collapsed after putting on his jacket. Zeleny was shot in the hand several months ago in the attempted arrest of Frank Kadavy, Seward farmer. A World War I Veteran, he had lived in Seward for 25 years. His wife died in 1932. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James R Zeleny of Swanton, four children Richard of Norfolk, Frances, Marjorie and Florence of Seward, five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services for Deputy Sheriff Bohumil Theophil Zeleny, who fell dead at his work in the planing mill Friday, were held Sunday afternoon at the Catholic church, Bev. W. T. McKenna officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors are two sons, Richard of Norfolk and Francis of Seward, two daughters, Marjorie and Florence of Seward, five brothers, Jack and Lewis of Seward, Ray and Gilbert of Swanton and James of Wilber, four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Slonecker and Mrs. Floyd Dowding of Seward, Mrs. Ed Nelson of Santon and Mrs. Ray Ward of Edgemont, South Dakota.
