Bio

Louis J. Zeleny was born December 17, 1906, at Staplehurst, Nebraska, and was a resident of Salina since 1956, moving from Omaha. He died March 7, 1994, at the Pinnacle Care Center, Salina. Mr. Zeleny was a diesel electrician for the Union Pacific Railroad for 33 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral parish, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Knights of Columbus. His first wife, Helen Jones, died in 1960. Survivors included his wife, Doris "Pat" Zeleny; a son, the Rev. Tom Zeleny; two daughters, Carolyn Kirn and Rosemary Rundell; a sister, Emma Nelson; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
