Bio

Fourth of 13 children of John H. and Marie Kathryn Wichmann Suntken, he grew up in Sibley, IL. He enlisted in the U. S. Army in W. W. II. He was a Private in 47th Illinois Div and was severly wounded at St. Lo. He was taken to England but died there. His body was returned to Sibley where a large military funeral honored him. The American Legion Post at Sibley is named in his honor.
