Bio

The funeral of Sidone L. Barber age 90, a five-year resident of Carle Arbours Nursing Home , Savoy formerly of Rantoul, Onarga and the Roberts area, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Roberts. The Reverend Donald Kumpf will officiate with burial in Lyman Township Cemetery, Roberts. Visitation was from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Young Funeral Home, Roberts and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers include Lloyd Falck Jr. ‚Louie Barber ,Earl Semend Ronald Suntken, John Schuey and Vernon Roesch. Mrs. Barber died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, November 29,1992 at the nursing home. She was born March 10,1902 in Sibley, a daughter of John and Marie Wichman Suntken. She married Ralph E. Barber on June 9,1926 in Fairbury. He died September 1,1977. Survivors include two sons Eugene of North Freedom, Wisconsin and Donald of Rantoul; two daughters Jeanette Barber of Yountville, California and Vera Bridson of Temecula, California; one brother Ernest Sunken of Bloomington; three sisters, Louise Roesch of Normal; Elsie Stevens of -Gibson City; and Margaret Osborne of Cuba Missouri; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
