Bio

Erwin L. Suntken, 61, a lifelong resident I the Gibson City area, died at 9 p.m. Thursday y in Gibson City Community Hospital Annex. Military rites will be accorded by Martin H. Suntken Post American Legion, Sibley. The post was named for Mr. Suntken's late brother. He was born April 21, 1919, at Chenoa, a son of John and Mane Wichmann Suntken. He married Dorothy Nordine Jan. 25, 1942, at Sibley. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Janice Thomas, and Cheryl Gudenrath; a brother, Ernest; seven sisters, lona Barber, ; Louise Roesch, Annetta Seamands, Elsie Steven, Dorothy Falck, Irene Faulk, Margaret Osborne; and four grandchildren. A sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Suntken was a World II veteran and a member of the Gibson City VFW and Sibley American Legion. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sibley. The Pantagraph Bloomington, Illinois Saturday, July 26, 1980
