Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Feb. 9, 1939 Mrs.Komoll Found Dead in Cistern Funeral Services Held This Afternoon at 3 o'clock Mrs. William Komoll, 55, was found dead yesterday afternoon in an elevated cistern at her home, fourteen miles east of Gonzales. Funeral servicess were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Robertson and Seydler Chapel with Rev. Wolf, pastor of the Lutheran church officiating. Interment was in the Hermann Sons cemetery. Her body was found by one of her sons when he returned from the foiled where he had been plowing. "After looking through te house I noticed a ladder against the cistern and ran to investigate," he told Justice of Peace Lee DuBose who rendered a coroners verdict of suicide. The Justice of Peace was telephoned about 3 o'clock and rushed out to the home.Mrs.Komoll, had been removed from the galvanized cistern which was filled to the top rim containing, he said, about 5 or 6 feet of water. Mrs.Komoll was born May 22, 2883 in Germany but had lived in the United Staes for 48 years. Her parents, bother born in Germany, are Fritz Roeber and Mrs. Minna Koterich Roeber. She was a member of the Lutheran chu4 h having been a member for about 50 years. Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Feb. 16, 1939 Mrs. Louise Mima Komoll, née Miss Roeber, was born May 22, 1883. At the age of seven years she and her parents and several brothers and sisters of the family came to America and settled in Gonzales county. She was united in marriage to William Komoll on Nov. 24, 2906 and only several years ago celebrated her 25th anniversary in a very happy way. The Komoll family consists of two sons, Benno of San Antonio and Marvin of Gonzales. Besides her husband and two sons she leaves to mourn her death, four brothers, Paul Roeber of Stamford, Otto, Max, and Henry Roeber of Gonzales, five sisters, Mrs. Martha Windwehen, Mrs. Annie Bartels, Mrs. Ida Foster all of Gonzales, Mrs. Hattie Will of Houston and Miss Emma Roeber of San Antonio. Her mother, Mrs. Minna Roeber, preceded her in death on Oct 8. 1938. Mrs. Komoll was confirmed member f the Lutheran church and at the time of her death had reached the age of 55 years, eight months and ten days. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral services on Feb. 3, at the Robertson and Seydler Chapel. Rev. W. Wolff officiated at the ceremony basing the lesson of comfort and admonition of Luke 18 chapter 9-14 verses. "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "my Faith Looks Up To Thee" were the hymns sung at the Chapel. Interment was held at the Herman Sons cemetery where a short service was held. The twenty-third Psalm was read and "Rock of Ages and Nearer My. God To Thee" were sung. Active pallbearers were Carl Windwehen , Raymond Roeber, Oscar Roeber, Roy Foster, O. N. Kaliese, and Bruno Voight. Many floral offerings made beautiful her last resting place showing the love held for by a large number of friends and relatives. Among the special offerings was a lovely spray from the Gonzales Lutheran League.
