Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 9, 1964 Funeral Services Scheduled Today For Mr. Roeber Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Seydler Funeral Home for Otto George Roeber, who died at the William and Alma Sievers Convalescent Home at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Clarence Zwetzig, padtor of the First Evangelical Lutheran church, officiated at the services with burial following in the Hermann Sons Cemetery. Mr. Roeber was born in Halla, Germany, on February 23, 1885, the son of Friedrich and Minna Korderich Roeber, natives of Germany. He was married in 1908, to Celesdena Foster, and the couple had resided on Route 1, Moulton. She preceded him in death on January 25, 1945. He was a member of the Gonzales Lutheran church and of the Herman Sons Lodge in Gonzales. He was a retired farmer and had lived in this country since the age of six years. Survivors include three sons, Oscar of Corpus Christi, George of San Antonio and John Roeber of Columbus; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Annie Mae) Neuse of Gonzales. Other survivors include two brothers, Max and Henry Roeber of Gonzales; and five sisters, Mrs. Eddie (Martha) Windwehen, Miss Emma Roeber, Gonzales; Mrs. Gottlieb (Hettie) Will of Houston; Mrs. Robert (Ia) Foster and Mrs. Willie (Anna) Bartels, both of Shiner.
