Bio

Married Albina Stasney on September 8, 1903 in Brazos County, TX. From the Bryan (TX) Daily Eagle , Monday, May 5, 1958, p. 12: Funeral services for Joe M. Boriskie, 84, of Route 3, Bryan, will be held in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home, Tuesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Sylvester Fuchs of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Born January 6, 1874 in Fayette County, Mr. Boriskie came with his parents to this county when he was only two years of age. He was a farmer until retirement and was a member of the Catholic Church and the SPJST lodge, members of which with a number of nephews will serve as pall bearers. Interment will be in College Station Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Albena Boriskie of Route 3, Bryan; three sons, Theodore and Robert Boriskie of Bryan and Willie Boriskie of Beeville; three daughters, Mrs. J. Brooke Stevenson Jr. of Bryan, Mrs. Few T. Hawkins of Palestine and Mrs. Willie T. Smith of Orange; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother, V. J. Boriskie, and one sister, Mrs. J. B. Williams, both of Bryan. From the Bryan (TX) Daily Eagle , Wednesday, May 7, 1958, p. 8: Pall bearers who served at the funeral and interment rites of Joe M. Boriskie Tuesday included Victor Dittfurth, Lawrence Hanus, Herman Krenek, John J. Stasny, Joe Patranella and Leon Boriskie. Named as honorary pallbearers were members of the local SPJST lodge and Herbert and Hawley West, Roy Henry Basim, Herman Prince, Leon W. Stasny, Ben B. Boriskie, Wayne and Billie West and Joe Boriskie, all nephews. Relatives and friends who came from out of town to attend the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Wayne West, Mrs. Herbert West, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Prince, and W. B. Atkins of Houston; Mr. and Mrs. James B. Kluge of Galveston; Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Smith, Miss Billie Jo and Mason Smith of Orange; Bill West of Seadrift; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Boriskie of Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Hall of Wylie; Mrs. John A. Boriskie, Dr. and Mrs. D. M. Tingley of Kemah; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boriskie, Port Arthur; and Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Englebrecht of Beaumont.
