Bio
Whitten, Ann Formerly of Dallas, age 82, passed away April 5, 2010, following a long illness in a Greenville nursing home. She was a lifelong Baptist and worked as a bookkeeper in Dallas and was a dedicated member of East Grand Baptist Church of Dallas and Grandview Baptist Church of Mesquite. She was an avid supporter of the Texas Baptist Men. She was born in Lamar County Texas on July 2, 1927 to Lemuel and Genie Brecheen. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. She married Aubrey Earl "Tony" Whitten on November 1, 1946 in Dallas. Survivors include her husband, Children: Michael Whitten and wife, Annette, Marietta, Ga., Judy Moxley, Mesquite & Kim Robinson and husband, Mike, Greenville, Tx.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Brecheen; sisters: Lucille Ford, Sally Hendrix & Carolyn Bennett. Funeral services 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 9, 2010, in the Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M.
