Charles death date is wrong on his tombstone; Both his death certificate and his obituary say he died on the 15th of October...not the 16th. (Obituary notice ran on Tuesday) PUBLISHED IN DESERET NEWS October 18, 1932 ORANGEVILLE---Services were conducted in the ward chapel here Monday for Charles Andrew Moffitt 77, who died at his home here Saturday. Bishop Taylor presided and the speakers were, J. Frank Killian and C. A. Stilson of Orangeville, and Herbert Moffitt of Castle Dale. Interment was in the local cemetery. Mr. Moffitt was born at Salt Lake City, October 31, 1855, son of Andrew Jackson Moffitt and Margaret Easton Moffitt. January 31, 1876, he was married to Mary Ann Snow of Manti. He was the father of nine children, eight of whom survive; Edgar Moffitt, Talmage, Utah; Warren Moffitt, city marshal of Castle Dale; Mrs. Henry Laramie, Consumers, Utah; Frank, Luella, Leona, and Mrs. Vera Johnson, all of Orangeville and Clinton of Los Angles. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Fannie Fox and Mrs. Jim Crawford, Orangeville; Mrs. Maggie Judd, Russel and Spencer Moffitt, Manti; and Wallace Moffitt, Bonita, Utah.
