Daughter of Andrew Jackson Moffitt & Margaret Easton. PUBLISHED IN THE DESERET NEWS May 27, 1939 Orangeville—Mrs. Jeanette Moffitt Crawford, 74, widow of James B. Crawford, died Friday at the family home after a short illness. She was born October 13, 1864, at Manti to Andrew Jackson and Margaret Easton Moffitt. She moved into the Castle Valley with the earliest settlers. She was active in Church affairs and served as president of the Primary Association and as secretary treasurer and teacher in the Relief Society of the wards in which she has lived. Surviving are a daughter and two sons; E. M. Crawford of Castle Dale and Leslie W. Crawford and Mrs. Jennie C Peacock of Orangeville, eight grandchildren, and two brothers, and a half brother, Spencer and Russell Moffitt of Manti and W. W. Moffitt of Orangeville. She reared two children (that weren't her own) Mrs. Lizzie Robertson of Orangeville, and Mrs. Ila Van Buren of Chicago.
