Cleburne Times Review, Thursday, March 20, 1969 S.S. Shelley Dies Wednesday At Fort Worth S.S. Shelley, 75, of 8533 Sussex Court, White Settlement, Fort Worth, died Wednesday afternoon at Harris Hospital, Fort Worth. He was born in Hill County and was a public school teacher for several years and lived in Cleburne for several years before moving to Fort Worth, when he was employed by General Dynamics. He retired five years ago. He was a member of the White Settlement Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star and was a deacon at First Baptist Church , White Settlement. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel Shelley of White Settlement; four sons, E.L. Shelley of Cleburne, W.E. Shelley of Livermore, Calif., G.H. Shelley of Redwood City, Calif. and Ira Lee Shelley of Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Mrs. David Whysong of Fort Worth, Mrs. Cecil Harper of Fort Worth, Mrs. Charles Hermann of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. R.B. Manning of Fort Worth; 22 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. S.G. Standridge and Mrs. W.F. Corbin, Cleburne. The funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, White Settlement, with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Interment will be in Moore Park, Arlington, after Masonic graveside service. Shannon Funneral Home, Fort Worth is in charge of the arrangements.
