Bio

Myrtle Edola Phillips was born 18 March 1889 in Booneville, Logan, Arkansas, USA. She was 4th of the 10 (documented) children born to William Thomas Phillips (1863-1901) and Sarah Cora [Holland] Phillips Hunt (1862-?) Siblings: James Wesley Phillips (1882-1944), Sarah Vianer [Phillips] Coker (1884-1957), Stephen B. Phillips (1891-1936), Ola Mae [Phillips] King (1894-1960), Odis Phillips (1894-1894), Zula Jane [Phillips] Robinson (1895-1940), Ruby Marie Phillips (1899-?) and William Thomas Phillips (1900-1972). Her father was shot and killed on May 18, 1901. In 1906, her mother Sarah was married to Gilbert Wesley Hunt and she gave birth to 2 more sons, George Washington Hunt (1907-1977) and Frank Hugh Hunt (1909-1971). At the age of 16 years, Myrtle married John Elven Robinson (1878-1972) on 27 August 1905 in Barber, Logan, Arkansas. They became the parents of Irland Monroe Robinson (1907-1966), Ruby Robinson (1909-1918), Cora Samantha [Robinson] Ellis/Bettiga (1913-2008) and James Eleven Robinson (26 Aug 1918-26 Aug 1918). Myrtle passed away on 14 December 1966 in Spiro, Le Flore, Oklahoma, USA and was laid to rest in the New Hope Garden of Memories Cemetery in Spiro, Leflore, Oklahoma.
