Bio

Joe Fred Snider, 71, a 45-year resident of Waco, died Wednesday, July 8, 1981, in a Temple hospital. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Kotch Funeral Home Hillcrest Chapel. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Oakwood Cemetery, with Monsignor Ed Rabroker officiating. Mr. Snider was born in Tours, Texas, and was a retired employee of the Waco Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was a veteran of World War II and a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Heine Snider; three sons, William J. Snider, L.C. Snider, of Lake Charles, La., and Robert D. Snider, of Tulsa, Okla; a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Doris) Kienitz, of Waco; two brothers, Ernest Snider, of West, and Jerome Snider, of Dawson; two sisters, Mrs. Isadore (Francis) Filer, of Houston, and Mrs. Annie Tambash, of California; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
