Last Rites Held For Reagan C. Bryan Reagan Clarence Bryan, 67, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday in Adair Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. W.R. Lawrence, officiating, assisted by Rev. J.V. Patterson, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Mr. Bryan was born October 13, 1895, at Tenaha Texas, and came to Clarendon in 1906. He had been in the grocery business in Clarendon and Turkey prior to his retirement in 1957 due to ill health. On November 14, 1928, he married Miss Ellen Bell at Memphis, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a veteran of WW I, and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. O.E. (Dona) Patterson, Jr., of Springfield, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Buel Sanford and Mrs. Frank Whitlock, both of Clarendon and two grandsons. Pallbearers were Walter Clifford, Alvin Landers, George Thompson, O.C. Watson, Charlie Bairfield, and Billy Goodman. Interment was in Citizens Cemetery under direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
