The St. Wencelaus Cemtery was established in 1917 when Staches Vacek sold and donated 5 acres of land to the church. The cemetery is about 170 feet X 178 feet . The first burial in the cemetery, according to tombstone records, was on 17 February 1919. The cemetery contains 170 burials as of this writing. The cemetery crucifix was donated by Anton & Frances Hluchanek in 1937 in memory of Cecilia Hluchanek, their daughter. The wording on the cross translates to: "Whoever comes here to visit those who are resting here, pray the "Our Father" for them." The Reverend Joseph Hamala drew a precise map of the cemetery when he was pastor at St. Wencelaus. He drew it on window shade linen and faithfully depicted every grave in the burial ground. The map is in possession of Daniel Neiser, present custodian and caretaker of the grounds.
