Bio
Floyce was born in Medina, Texas on July 23, 1922 the daughter of James Cornelous McHaney and Mary Stella Scallorn McHaney. She grew up in Sylvester and graduated from Sylvester High School where she was a star basketball player. She attended Hardin-Simmons University and married Loyd Campbell on July 12, 1940 in Abilene. Floyce made many personal sacrifices as she made a loving home for 8 children. She enjoyed crochet, sewing and being outdoors working in her yard and feeding the birds. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Richard Campbell and wife Linda, Carol Melao and husband Joe, Martha Justice and husband Dave, Alan Campbell and wife Angie, Kathy Brooks and husband Bobby, Sylvia Greenhouse and husband Wayne, Susie Sewell and husband Dr. Tommy Sewell; two sisters, Faye Cross of Midland and Billie Ruth Marzano of Washington; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Her husband, her daughter, Cindy Campbell, 2 sisters and 1 brother preceded her in death.
