Glena Ray Turner BROWNFIELD — Glena Ray Turner, 79, formerly of Sylvester, died Monday in a Lubbock care center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Newman Cemetery near Roby with the Rev. Scott Hensley officiating, directed by Brownfield Funeral Home. Mrs. Turner was born in Sweetwater. She was the widow of Fred H. Turner, whom she married on December 25, 1937 in Sylvester. She had lived in Terry County and Sylvester. She returned to Brownfield in 1968. She attended Baylor University and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, James Turner of Brownfield; two daughter, Janey Sue Bartley of Orange, Calif. and Patricia Ann Montalbo of Plano; one brother, Herbert McHaney of Roby; three sisters, Floyce Cambell of Abilene, Fae Cross of Sylvester, and Billie Ruth Marzano of Sedro Woolley, Wa.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
