MRS. McHANEY'S RITES SET TUESDAY Sweetwater - Funeral for Mrs. Mollie S. McHaney, 65, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Le Ray Fowler, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Virgil Potter of Sylvester. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of Patterson Funeral Home. Mrs. McHaney, former postmaster at Sylvester, died Sunday at Pecan Grove Rest Home here, where she had been making her home since January. Survivors include her husband, J. C. McHaney; five daughters, Mrs. Paul Johnson of San Angelo, Mrs. Fred Turner of Brownfield, Mrs. Lloyd Campbell of Lubbock, Mrs. W. A. Cross of Midland and Mrs. Mike Marzano of Canoga Park, Calif.; one son, J. H. McHaney of Sylvester; her mother, Mrs. Martha Scallorn of Sylvester; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Combest of Sylvester, Mrs. Harold Wilson and Mrs. Velma Wimber of San Antonio and Mrs. Ruby Saffy of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, George Scallorn of San Diego, Calif.; and 22 grandchildren. The family asks that remembrances be in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
