Bio
Elizabeth B. Thames, 83, of Victoria, died May 29 1999. She was born Nov 7 1915, in Victoria County to the late Adam and Theresa Huber Heibel. She was a beauty operator for over 60 years and a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. She was also a member of St.Joseph Mothers Club and Optimist Club. Survivors: daughter, Mary Ann Thames of Tuscon, Arz; step-sisters, Rosie Miller of Victoria, Trancy Jourdan of San Antonio, Cecelia Scott of Grand Prairie and Margaret Ortiz of California; brother Victoria Heibel of Goliad; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by; husbands, Charles Barrington and William Thames; son James Barrington; sisters, Mary Gutmann and Ella Heibel; brothers, Adam Heibel, Otto Heibel, Alfred Heibel, Emil Heibel and George Heibel; and step-brother, Oscar Heibel. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at Colonial Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, the Rev Michael Harrold officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. ****************************************
