Bio
William Richard "Dick" Robinson was the son of John Ervin Robinson and Mary Jane Cooper. Dick Robinson married Jessie Lavinia Dugat on January 27, 1897. ********************************************************************************* OBITUARY FROM THE LIBERTY VINDICATOR: W. R. ROBINSON, 87, LIFETIME RESIDENT DIES DAYTON--William Richard Robinson, 87, lifetime resident of Dayton, died enroute to Dayton Memorial Hospital, Friday, October 27, at 3:30 p.m. Services were held Sunday, October 29, at 2 p.m., South Dayton Baptist Church, with the Reverends E. R. Harding and Charles Wingate officiating. Burial was in Heirlawn Cemetery, South Dayton, under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Mr. Robinson was born January 14, 1874, in Chambers County. He is survived by one son, Richard Robinson of Beaumont; four daughters, Mrs. Gusta Fiedler, Raywood, Mrs. Jane Gates, Mrs. Dessie Dugat and Mrs. Vera Stubbs of Dayton; one brother, J. P. Robinson, Dayton; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Trahan, and Mrs. Richard Eaton of Dayton, Mrs. Florence Davis, Houston, and Mrs. Johnnie Frazier, Baytown; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The pallbearers, are all grandsons of Mr. Robinson, were Eddie Robinson, Hade Robinson, Sidney Fiedler, Paul Fiedler, Jr., Duncan Fiedler, James Fiedler, Dalton Farmer, and Leroy Stubbs. *********************************************************************************** W. R. "Dick" Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, John Ervin Robinson and Mary Jane Cooper Robinson; his wife, Jessie Lavinia Dugat Robinson; his son, J. W. "Joe" Robinson; his brother, Monroe Robinson; his sisters, Susan Elizabeth "Lizzie" Robinson Frazar, Laura "Sis" Robinson Morris, and Annie Robinson; his grandchildren, Gerald Fiedler, Marita Jo Frazar, and Billy Maurice Frazar; and an infant great-grandson.
