Bio

"Ever a Lady, Always and Angel" On October 29,2001, our dear sweet wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friedn, Lila A. Kelley McNicol (Lu-Lu), made her final journey home to her Father in Heaven and her loved ones who have passed on before her. We are certain the reunion will be a grand one in the grand ball room above. "She'll dance once more, and waltz across Heaven." Lila was born on July 8, 1925 to George William Kelley and Loa Edna Chastain Kelley in Ibapah, Utah with the help of Hilda Erickson (midwife). Lila was the tenth of 14 children. She grew up and attended school in Ibapah until 1941, when she moved to Tooele, where she met, fell in love with and married John LaVere McNicol on February 2, 1941. Their marriage was then solemnized in the Salt Lake Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple on November 17, 1960. They were together for 59 years. Unto their union was born four children: Donna Carol (Perry) Lawrence, John Lynn (Zeliah) McNicol, Pamela "Lori" Lorraine (Michael) Terry, and Brenda Kaye (Robert) Madsen. She was preceded in death by one daughter in July (Lori), her parents, seven sisters, four brothers and two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, John; her three children; two sisters, Marrian (LeRoy) Brown, LaRee (Jay) Ericson and one brother, Vaughn J. Kelley; 16 granchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her two darling poodles, Trixie and Cricket and many dear friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 5, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the LDS Church at 141 W Utah Avenue in Tooele. Rest in peace. "God be with your until we meet again" We love you!
