Son of George and Loa Kelley. Husband of Norma Weare Kelley (1932 - future burial). Obituary from the Salt Lake City Tribune: Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Harold L. Kelley passed away July 26, 1997 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was born May 18, 1927, to George William and Loa Edna Chastain Kelley in Ibapah, Utah. He attended Tooele County schools and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944 at the age of 17. He was given a medical discharge because of a knee injury. He married Norma V. Weare on June 9, 1949. He worked at TAD (Tooele Army Depot) and American Smelter & Refining before moving to Ely, Nevada in 1956 where he was employed at Kennecott in McGill, Nevada. In 1958, he moved his family to Wendover, Utah where he was employed by the Potash Plant as a mechanic. In 1964, he again went to work for Kennecott at the Ruth Mine as a mechanic. He became shop foreman in 1969 and retired from Kennecott in 1977 after suffering a heart attack and then an injury to his back. In 1978, he and his wife moved back to Ibapah after he purchased his grandfather's (William Kelly) property. He loved hunting, fishing, raising horses and camping with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of Ibapah and two daughters, Mrs. Jon (Frankie) Shields of Vernon, Utah and Mrs. Pete (Colleen) Anderson of Duchesne, Utah. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jared Shields, Randy Jo Shields, Kyle Lynn Kelley, Kristy Anderson, Kelsha Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Karmin Anderson and Kember Anderson; three sisters: Mrs. Marrian Brown, Mrs. John L. (Lila) McNicol, Mrs. Jay (LaRee) Ericson; one brother, Vaughn Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers and his son, Delbert LaMar Kelley. Funeral services were held at the Ibapah School House in Ibapah, Utah on Friday, August 1, 1997 at 1 p.m.
