Daughter of Anton J. Podsednik and wife Anna Vrba Podsednik. Married Jerome "Jerry" Pratka in 1936. OBITUARY FROM THE LIBERTY VINDICATOR, July 7, 1977 Christine Pratka Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Mary Pratka, 61, of Dayton, were held Saturday, July 2, 1977, in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paul Fee officiating. Burial followed in Eastgate Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Sterling Funeral Homes, Inc. Rosary was held Friday, July 1, 1977, at 8:00 p.m. in the Sterling Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Pratka passed away Thursday, June 30, 1977, at 7:45 p.m. in the Diagnostic Hospital in Houston. A native of Tours, Texas, Mrs. Pratka had lived in Dayton for 35 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and also a member of the St. Anne's Altar Society. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jerry C. Pratka; her mother, Mrs. Annie Podsednik of West; four sons, Jerry Pratka, Jr., of Deer Park, James Pratka, Ronald Pratka and William Pratka, all of Dayton. Three daughters, Sylvia Vyoral of Houston, Jeanette Walker and Evelyn Calhoun, both of Dayton. Four brothers, Edward Podsednik and Frank Podsednik both of West, Norbert Podsednik of California, and Tommy Podsednik of Arlington, and five sisters: Agnes Straten of West, Sister Marie Podsednik of San Antonio, Helen Harbel of Dallas, Mary Dulock of West and Bennie Mae Pustejovsky of Arlington, and 13 grandchildren.
