Bio
Some researchers believe David's middle name to be Paul. No official documentation can be located to support either Paul or Phillip, as death records (of a few of his children), his 1874 marriage record, and the 1880, 1900, & 1910 U.S census show either David or D.P. (written by Steve Voss ~ creator of this memorial) When David Simmons' memorial was transferred to me, "Phillip" was listed as his middle name. As there is no documentation to prove whether the middle initial "P" is for "Phillip" or "Paul", I have taken the liberty of just using the initial. ~𝓓𝓪𝓾𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓸𝓯 𝓖𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓮 ∼ News reached us this morning of the death of D.P. Simmons at Temple where he was at the sanitarium for treatment. Mr. Simmons was well and favorably known to most everyone in the town and county. His remains will be brought to Coleman for interment.
