Æ 29 Years, 4 Months, 26 Days - Killed in action during the Battle of Chickamauga, Civil War George Washington was the firstborn child of 17 known children born to Joseph Ephraim Simmons and Martha Ann Cowden. He married Martha Louise Garrad on October 10, 1860 in Hopkins County, Texas. Together they had one known child.
