Dick Grossart, 69 Succumbs Monday - Richard Grossart, 69, passed away Monday evening at the Memorial Hospital in St. Paul after an illness of two years. He was a lifetime resident of this community. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ernest Switzer officiating and the McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery. He worked most of his adult life as a telephone linesman until 1952 when he went to work at the Cornhusker Ordnance Plant, where he stayed until ill health forced him to retire. Mr. Grossart was a member of the Lutheran Church in Wolbach. Survivors include his wife, Emma; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Bahensky, Palmer, and Mrs. Floyd McLain, St. Paul; two sons, Joseph of Wolbach and Glen, at home; three sisters, Lena Bloom, Mrs. Edna Campbell and Mrs. Jesse Vincent, all of Grand Island; four brothers, Jim of Denver, Colorado, Pete of Sterling, Colorado, John of Wolbach and George of Hastings; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
