From The Wolbach Messenger, Thursday, January 7, 1971, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Joe Grossart Buried Today-- Funeral services for Joe Grossart, 62, of Wolbach were held today (Thursday, January 7, 1971) at 11 a.m. in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. Lawrence Fenton officiated at the mass. The McIntyre-Jacobsen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Bahensky, Eugene Bahensky, Danny Bahensky, Pat Nealon, Robert Nealon and Wm. Grossart Jr. Joseph A. Grossart, son of Richard and Emma Berney Grossart was born March 21, 1908 at Wolbach. He was a graduate of Wolbach High School and grew to manhood in the area. On April 7, 1934, he was united in marriage to Ellen Nealon at O'Connor. The couple resided their entire married life in Wolbach. Mr. Grossart worked as a carpenter and as a television repairman. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Wolbach. He passed from this life on Sunday, January 3, 1971 at an Omaha hospital at the age of 62 years. Surviving are his wife, Ellen, one son, Jerry of Kearney, four grandchildren, his mother Mrs. Emma Grossart of St. Paul, two sisters, Mrs. Eva Bahensky and Mrs. Erma McLain both of St. Paul, one brother, Glenn of St. Paul, other relatives and many friends. Preceding in death was his father.
