From The Palmer Journal, February 20, 1958, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Daisy Pearl Semple, daughter of Margaret and James Semple, was born September 7, 1883 in Mahaska County, near Pella, Iowa, and passed away February 12, 1958 in the Coolidge Hospital at Palmer, Nebr., at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 5 days. At the age of one she moved with her parents in a covered wagon to Merrick County, Nebr., near Palmer, where they were pioneer farmers. On March 22, 1900 she was united in marriage to Henry Tschudy and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister. Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. Charles Goldfish of Cotesfield, and Mrs. Maud Abel of North Loup; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mr. Walter Fisher of Polk; two brothers, Will Semple and John Semple of Palmer; and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Tschudy was united with the Methodist Church in 1899.
