Bio

Nola Kofford Christensen, 95, passed away September 8, 2010 in Riverton. She was born July 28, 1915 in Orem, to Clarence Louis and Lanora Nancy Millet Kofford. Nola married Elmo Ray Christensen, and he preceded her in death. She then married Ellis Vard Christensen, and he also preceded her in death. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving faithfully in many callings, including two full-time missions. She is survived by her children: Jay, Clyde, Nyle, Bernell, Brent and Terry; son-in-law, Bruce Russell; Ellis' children, Vero, Janet, Linda and Elaine; 70 grandchildren and 177 great-grandchildren; brother, Rex; and sister, Lenore. In addition to her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen; and siblings, Beula, Cree, Ned, Verl, Keith, Dean, Lyle and Renae. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m at the LDS Ward chapel located at 13200 South 1400 West in Riverton. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 and at the ward chapel in Riverton on Friday from 6 to 8 or on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will take place in the Orem City Cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the LDS Church Missionary Fund through your local ward bishop. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
