Verl Willard Kofford, 84, of American Fork, died on Friday, February 21, 1997, attended by his family. He was born October 28, 1912 to Clarence Louis Kofford and Nora Millet Kofford in Orem, Utah. He married Helen Rappleye on April 26, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. He grew up in Orem. He and his wife owned and operated Verl's Sinclair Service in Orem and the Sun 'n' Sand Motel, in Kanab. He was a High Priest in the American Fork 25th Ward. His special interests were his family, especially his 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.His is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons and two daughters, Lew and Marilyn Kofford, Alpine; Stephen Kofford, Midvale; Judie and Joel Erickson, Moroni; Rosemary and Dar Cloward, Lehi; a brother and four sisters, Rex Kofford, Longmount, CO; Lyle and Sam Crandall, Orem; Lenore and John Laudie, Orem; Nola and Ellis Christenson, Richfield; Renae and Ed Wiggins, Salt Lake City. He is preceded in death by brothers, Cree, Ned, Keith, Dean and sister, Buleah. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 25th Ward Chapel, 445 East 300 North. Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North and Tuesday one hour prior to the Services at the Church.
