Herald Coaster, March 13, 1965: Mrs. Vlasta Ann Pastor, 71, of Richmond, passed away suddenly Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. Born in Ellinger October 27, 1893, she was a long-time resident of Beasley. Three years ago Mrs. Pastor moved to Richmond. Survivors are her children, Mike Pastor, Lamar H. Pastor, Basil L. Pastor, Lionel F. Pastor, Sidney J. Pastor of Beasley, and Mrs. Maxine Buzek of San Antonio; one brother, Otto Lillie of San Antonio; two sisters, Mrs. Lavine Ramsower of Angelton and Mrs. Leara Stavinoha of Houston; an uncle, Henry Loewe of Granger; and 11 grandchildren. Mrs. Pastor was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Pastor, in 1938, and a daughter, Vlasta B. Sulak in 1948. Pallbearers were A.C. Wendel, Wm. Covell Jr., Charles Henry Blase, Emil Myska, Read Ramsower Jr., and Henry Kacal. Rosary was recited at Garmany and Co. Chapel in Rosenberg at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Services at the chapel at 8:30 a.m. Monday were followed by Requiem Mass at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Richmond. Rev. T.J. Prendergast offered the mass. Interment was in the Beasley Catholic Cemetery.
