Herald Coaster, April 29, 1993: Graveside services for Leara Stavinoha, 83, of Houston, were held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Beasley. A rosary service was held Wednesday night at Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Leara Stavinoha was born May 31, 1909 in Glidden. She died April 27 at Heights Hospital in Houston after a lengthy illness. She lived in Glidden until the age of 9, then moved to Richmond and remained there through her marriage to Perry Hamilton. In 1945, she moved to Houston with her marriage to Frank Stavinoha and remained there until her death. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston for many years and operated a rooming house. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Lillie; husbands, Perry Hamilton and Frank Stavinoha; sisters, Lavine Lillie Ramsower (twin), Mary Lillie Cloar, Vlasta Lillie Pastor, and Roxybelle Lillie Wheaton; and brothers, Theodore Lillie, Otto Lillie, Byron Lillie, and Larkin Lillie. Survivors include 13 nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
