Harry was married to Anna Marie KARNER on 16 Oct 1907, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stevens Point, Portage, Wisconsin, USA. Harry and Anna had a total of eleven children together: Henry George "Hank", Florence Margaret "Babe", Charles John, Ramona Grace "Mona", James Francis "Jim", Grace Magdalin, Mary Ann, Anthony John "Tony", Thomas Paul, John Joseph "Jack", and William Arthur "Billy" ISHERWOOD. Stevens Point Daily Journal , 12 Aug 1945 Harry Joseph Isherwood, age 63, a former Soo Line railroad employee and later a sign painter, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock at Mount View sanitorium, near Wausau, where he had been a patient for nearly six weeks. Mr. Isherwood underwent a serious operation in April 1944, at Madison and had been in ill health since. The family home is at 325 South Fremont street. A lifelong resident of Stevens Point, Mr. Isherwood was born here on May 17, 1882, a son of the late Henry and Isabel Isherwood. He was employed as a car repair man for the Soo Line for 20 years prior to 10 years ago when he became engaged in the sign painting business. He was married on Oct. 16, 1906, to Ann Karner, who died 11 years ago. Surviving are 11 children, Staff Sgt. Henry Isherwood in India, Florence, Mary Ann, Jack and William Isherwood, at home. Charles, 417 Dixon street, Mrs. VIctor Jarvis of Milwaukee, James, a quartermaster in the merchant marines, serving in the Pacific, whose home is also in Milwaukee, Mrs. Alfred Zwicke, 436 South Illinois avenue, Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Anthony Isherwood, who has been serving on an LST in the European war theater and Pvt. Thomas Isherwood in the Philippines; two brothers, Abe Isherwood of Stevens Point and James Isherwood of Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. George Garner of Minneapolis and Mrs. A.L. Fillmore of Chippewa Falls, and five grandchildren. Mr. Isherwood was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's church with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Stevens Point Daily Journal , 17 Aug 1945 Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry J. Ehr officiated at the funeral services Monday morning for Harry J. Isherwood, 325 South Fremont street, who died Thursday. The services were at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's Catholic church and burial followed in the parish cemetery. Miss Barbara Van Hecke sang and played a requiem mass. The alter boys were David Konopacky, James Konopacky, and John Konopacky, nephews of Mr. Isherwood, and William Isherwood, his son. The pallbearers were Peter Feltz, John Bablitch, William Jauch, Frank Slaske, Harold Thompson, and Mike Burant. Those from out of town who came for the funeral were Mrs. Henry Isherwood of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. James Isherwood of Greendale, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schmitt of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Arthur Dobrinski of Redgranite, Mrs. George Garner of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. VIctor Jarvis of Milwaukee, and James Isherwod of Wisconsin Rapids.
